Treatment Of Keloids:
Keloids are generally treated with injections of steroids at regular intervals. After few injections the keloid reduces in size. Some surgeons may remove keloid with laser and then inject the site with steroid to stop keloid formation. Silicone gels and sheetings are also used to treat keloids. Your doctor is the best person to tell you about treatment of such scars.

Depressed Scars
Other Scars such as icepick, saucer shaped scars and depressions may be treated with a variety of cosmetic skin procedures. They may be

  • Laser resurfacing
  • Chemical peeling
  • Collagen implants
  • Other soft tissue fillers
  • Dermabrasion

  • Your doctor may also advise some other methods such as skin surgery to remove the scars. Scars are always a challenge for the doctor to remove and with the latest developments in medical sciences, you need not suffer with a scarred skin.
