Laser Hair Removal: Procedure & Results

Procedure & Results

Laser hair removal can be used on any part of the body except the region close to the eyes. You can get hair removed from your legs, chest, back, shoulders, bikini area, etc. The duration of treatment will depend upon the total area of hair removal. Although laser removal is called painless, most of the clinics use local anesthetics and sometimes sedation.

The treatment is repeated after some weeks. Normally you may have to be treated three times for complete treatment. The number of treatments and the gap between treatments will depend upon your hair type, skin type, hair growth cycle, etc. As hair grows in cycles, more treatments are needed to eliminate all the hair from a particular area. Laser treatment is not considered a permanent hair removal method, but the future hair growth may be much less and much finer. You should discuss about these issues with the technician in detail.
