Lichen Planus: Treatment & Prevention

Treatment & Prevention Of Lichen Planus

Topical or oral steroids and antihistamines are the standard treatments of lichen planus. Your doctor will create a treatment regime depending upon the location of the disease and its severity. The medications do not clear the rashes but provide relief in itching and may stop formations of ulcerations. In severe cases, ultra violet light (PUVA) may be used.
